Toledo, Ohio (June 13, 2023) – Locally recognized accounting and advisory firm William Vaughan Company (WVC) is excited to announce being named as one of the 2023 Best Employers in Ohio by Crain’s Cleveland Business.
The statewide, Best Employers survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Ohio – in turn, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce, and its businesses. In 2023, only 60 companies were named as winners of this prestigious award.
To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
• Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
• Be a publicly or privately held business;
• Have a facility in the state of Ohio;
• Have at least 15 employees working in Ohio; and
• Be in business for a minimum of 1 year.
To be considered for Best Employers in Ohio, eligible companies participated in a two-part survey process. The first part evaluated each company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. Part one of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. Part two consisted of an internal survey to measure the employee experience and was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. A trusted and anonymous third party, Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Ohio and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.
The ranking of William Vaughan Company, headquartered in Maumee, as a 2023 Best Employers in Ohio was published in Crain’s Cleveland Business on June 12.
