WILLIAM VAUGHAN COMPANY ANNOUNCES 2022 PROMOTIONS INCLUDING THE ADDITION OF THREE NEW PARTNERS

Toledo, Ohio (July 11, 2022) – Locally recognized accounting and advisory firm, William Vaughan Company (WVC) is pleased to recognize fourteen exceptional staff members who are being promoted to new roles within the firm.

Partner & Director Promotions

Owen Beck, CPA has been promoted to Partner in addition to serving as WVC’s Trucking and Transportation Practice Leader. He joined WVC in 2018. Owen works side-by-side with clients to develop the right approach for their tax needs and serves clients in a number of industries including logistics, transportation, and retail. A native of Bowling Green, Owen splits his time between WVC’s Maumee and Bowling Green offices.

Kristin Metzger, CPA has also been promoted to Partner. She serves as the firm’s Restaurant Practice Leader, as well as an integral member of the WVC audit department. Kristin has been with the firm for more than 18 years. As a seasoned leader and problem-solver, she has a strong background in restaurant accounting, tax, and outsourced financial services. Kristin graduated from Ohio Northern University with a BSBA in Accounting.

Amy Slates, CPA, CGMA who leads WVC’s Professional Services Practice has been promoted to Partner. She brings more than 19 years of experience providing a variety of tax and business planning services including the coordination and delivery of tax compliance services to closely-held businesses and their owners in the insurance and legal industries. Amy graduated from Heidelberg University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration.

Nicole Menden, MBA has been promoted to Director of Cloud Accounting Services with William Vaughan Company’s subsidiary WVC RubixCloud, a leading provider of outsourced accounting. She has been with the organization since its inception in 2014. As the newly appointed Director, Nicole will oversee a team of highly experienced accounting professionals dedicated to helping restaurant and hospitality organizations run and grow their business through financial clarity. She is a graduate of Lourdes University where she received her MBA.

Senior Manager Promotions

Jason Wenner, CPA has been with the firm since 2014. He works with individual and corporate clients in the manufacturing industry on tax planning and compliance issues. In addition, Jason specializes in cost segregation studies. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in Accounting.

Chad Gates, CPA specializes in assisting closely held businesses plan for and comply with complicated tax laws. He serves a wide variety of industries including real estate, dental, and restaurants. Chad joined the firm in 2015 and is a Bowling Green State University Graduate who earned both an undergraduate and master’s degree in accounting.

Ruben Becerra, CPA joined the WVC in 2013. He specializes in federal, state, and local tax services and planning opportunities for middle-market corporations. Ruben is a key member of the firm’s Manufacturing & Distribution practice team where he manages various consulting projects offering value-added recommendations to complex issues. He is a Siena Heights University and University of Toledo alumni.
