Mike’s professional journey includes founding DHC, LLC, where he spent a decade advising clients on a range of financial and operational matters. Earlier in his career, he served as a senior manager at a nationally recognized firm where he led teams in delivering advisory and assurance services to a broad client base. Mike’s extensive background enables him to offer clients actionable insights and practical guidance, helping them navigate evolving business challenges with confidence.

Why did you join William Vaughan Company?

I was part of the 2018 merger between William Vaughan Company and Davenport, Hanf & Company (DHC).

What are you most passionate about in your work?

I am most passionate about our contribution to our community, being part of one of the best local organizations, and providing great advice to local individuals and companies.

What has been your most rewarding client experience?

My most rewarding client experience is when we develop enough rapport, understanding, and trust that the client looks over and says, “Mike, what would you do?”

Just like DHC, WVC was designed from the beginning to be opposite from the typical CPA firm. Our Partner group serves the organization so the organization can serve its clients.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

When I’m not attending to my three children, I enjoy ATVs and remote-controlled cars, trucks, boats, and helicopters.

What’s a fun fact few would know about you?

I showed up late for my first professional job interview and was still hired.
