Senior Manager
Amy Barber, CPA is an audit senior manager who began her public accounting career with Ernst & Young. During her 20 year career, she has held various private industry positions. Amy’s corporate experience provides a valuable perspective for her clients, which includes those in the construction, manufacturing, long-term care, and restaurant industries. She is responsible for performing, directing, and supervising the daily activities of our audit team.
Why did you join William Vaughan Company?
I was part of the 2018 merger between WVC and Davenport, Hanf & Company (DHC). I appreciate the values and culture that existed at both firms and continues to be at the heart of the new Wiliam Vaughan Company.
What are you most passionate about in your work?
Quality client service. I strive to serve clients with professionalism and practicality. I assist clients with any business questions/issues that arise.
What has been your most rewarding client experience?
Maintaining long-term client relationships, where we are business advisors and also friends.
What makes William Vaughan Company different?
The flexibility and our fun culture – even during the busiest of times. We actually have a designated “Fun Committee” which brings creative ideas and activities to our employees. As a result, many of us participate in various activities together outside of work such as volleyball, soccer, basketball, etc.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities, and volunteering.
