Marci Malpert, CPA, CEBS

Senior Manager

Why did you join William Vaughan Company?

I was part of the WVC and Davenport Hanf & Company (DHC) merger in 2018. I originally joined DHC after being self-employed for 7 years. I wanted to continue working with my clients and maintain a flexible schedule for my family. DHC offered such, as well as an opportunity to build something special, from the ground up. I have been involved in many aspects of the business over the past 12 years, and am excited to see more opportunities on the horizon.

What are you most passionate about in your work?

I enjoy helping clients navigate the employee benefit plan arena, ensuring they are doing the right things in relation to the retirement benefits they are providing their employees.

What has been your most rewarding client experience?

I love the personal relationships I have built with my clients. We share family stories, how our kids are doing, etc. Similar to what friends would do. Over the course of my career, I’ve been blessed to work with several of my clients for over 15 years.

What makes William Vaughan Company different?

The flexibility, the acknowledgment of the importance of family and other commitments outside of work and the recognition for hard work.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Spending time with family and friends, reading and walking.

What’s a fun fact few would know about you?

I used to be a bit more daring – I’ve done a solo static line skydive from about 3,500 feet. Looking back, it probably wasn’t the safest thing to do. The experience though – looking around the countryside from the parachute – was absolutely amazing.
