Jeff Long, CPA

Tax Partner

Jeffery Long, CPA is a partner in the Tax Department who spends the majority of his time planning and consulting on various tax and business matters for construction and manufacturing clients.  He is a graduate of the University of Toledo and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Jeff serves as Treasurer of the Construction Financial Management Association and is an active member on the board of the Family Child Abuse Prevention Center. In 2011, Jeffery was elected as the Fiscal Officer of Liberty Township in Putnam County, Ohio.

Why did you join William Vaughan Company?

I began working here as an intern and was offered a position right out of college. It was the best opportunity for me and I seized it!

What are you most passionate about in your work?

Our clients and the people I work with on a daily basis. I enjoy helping people plan and save to be able to do what they enjoy.

What has been your most rewarding client experience?

I really enjoy working with clients who respect what I do as an accountant and who feel they can come to me for advice and guidance.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Spending time with family and friends — that is what life is all about.

What’s a fun fact few would know about you?

When I was 27, I began racing go-karts and eventually graduated to Sprint cars. I am still involved in the sport today.
