Curtis Recker, CPA is a Senior Manager who joined the firm in 2019 with more than 14 years of experience. He spends most of his of time serving the valuation department where he assists with accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and reporting for closely-held and family-owned businesses. Curtis routinely works closely with organizations in the construction, manufacturing, real estate, and retail industries. In addition, he consults with his clients regarding tax compliance and planning opportunities.

Why did you join William Vaughan Company?
I joined William Vaughan Company in 2018 through a merger with another local CPA firm.

What are you most passionate about in your work?
I am most passionate about helping my clients meet their business and personal goals through tax planning and being their trusted business advisor.

What has been your most rewarding client experience?
I enjoy building relationships with my clients by understanding their personal and business needs in order to help them grow. Knowing I have personally helped make a stressful situation easier for a client is extremely rewarding.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 daughters, who love going on walks to the park. I am also a big Cleveland sports fan and really enjoy listening to just about any type of music.

What is a fun fact few might know about you?
Farming has been a big part of my life. I grew up on a farm, met my wife on her farm, got married at a farm in Virginia, and we regularly visit my dad at the farm where I grew up as a kid.
