Courtney Neuman, CPA is a senior manager that’s been with William Vaughan Company since 2013. Courtney serves not-for-profit, individual, partnership and corporate clients. She also aids a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, professional services. Courtney is a graduate of the University of Michigan and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of CPAs.
Why did you join William Vaughan Company?
I joined because working for a company with a local footprint allows me to make a bigger impact with our clients.
What are you most passionate about in your work?
Helping people! I especially love strategic tax planning because it can make such a difference for local businesses.
What has been your most rewarding client experience?
I proposed a change in accounting method that not only allowed the client to better understand their tax position, but it actually increased their taxable income. Yes, that’s right – increased! While the tax aspect gets me really excited, I was also elated to simplify their accounting method for them—and so were they!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Traveling, trying new fine-dining restaurants, gardening, and spending time with my family.

I was my high school’s valedictorian.
