Why did you join William Vaughan Company?
I joined because working for a company with a local footprint allows me to make a bigger impact with our clients.
What are you most passionate about in your work?
Helping people! I especially love strategic tax planning because it can make such a difference for local businesses.
What has been your most rewarding client experience?
I proposed a change in accounting method that not only allowed the client to better understand their tax position but also increased their taxable income. By increasing their taxable income, we actually decreased their tax burden by way of funding their IC-DISC. Yes, that’s right—increased! While the tax aspect gets me really excited, I was also elated to simplify their accounting method for them—and so were they!
What makes William Vaughan Company different?
William Vaughan Company has a heavy emphasis on using tax law strategically and it’s really beautiful to see. It’s a firm of people that are very passionate about their work and eager to make a difference for each and every client.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Traveling, trying new fine-dining restaurants, gardening, and spending time with my family.
What’s a fun fact few would know about you?
I was my high school’s valedictorian.
