William Vaughan Company, a locally recognized, full-service accounting firm in Maumee, Ohio is currently seeking student interns for the 2023 tax season. Our tax internships are full-time, entry-level positions. In addition, this is a temporary role with employment beginning at the end of January through mid-April. Paid training is provided at the onset. You will learn directly from experienced staff and senior leadership with specialized experience and technical knowledge across numerous industries. Most importantly, you will gain hands-on experience and better understand how your academic experience translates to the professional environment. All interns are assigned a buddy to guide them through the process and to provide feedback.


  • Prepares tax returns (federal, state, and city)
  • Processes 1099’s, W-2s, and year-end payroll tax returns
  • Collaborates with reviewers and your mentor to develop your tax preparation skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of basic technical requirements


  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors and/or Masters degree in business, accounting, finance, data, and analytics, or related fields
  • Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels
  • Motivation to continuously learn and improve, easy to coach
  • Unwavering integrity in all situations
  • Enthusiasm, eagerness to engage, and have FUN – work hard, play hard
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • A minimum of a 40-hour work week with some overtime expected
