Diane Allman is a Senior Manager who has been with the firm since February 2003 and works primarily in our firm’s healthcare niche. Prior to joining William Vaughan Company, she had 15 years experience with other Northwest Ohio public accounting firms. She is a graduate of the University of Toledo and is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Medical Group Management Association. She specializes in the healthcare industry providing accounting, tax and consulting services to various healthcare entities and individuals. She continues to expand her medical knowledge by attending various National Healthcare Conferences that focus on the current issues related to the healthcare industry. Some of her medical consulting experience includes calculation of shareholder buy-in and buy-out values, valuation of entities for acquisition value, and retirement plan administration. Types of clients Diane is responsible for include neurosurgeons, emergency room doctors, internal medicine practices, anesthesiologists, infectious disease practices and general practices.
Why did you join William Vaughan Company?
I had previously been in public accounting and was currently in the industry. As a client of William Vaughan Company, I was impressed with their people and culture. When I decided to return to public accounting, they were my first choice.
What are you most passionate about in your work?
I love the relationships with clients and the interactions. I enjoy the ever-changing rules and regulations of the healthcare industry – it’s never boring!
What has been your most rewarding client experience?
I feel good when I positively impact a client’s financial wellbeing. I have saved client’s money on retirement benefit changes and it was rewarding to know I played a role in their success.

We have a very positive culture that is employee-focused. I truly believe I have an extended family in William Vaughan Company. I have personally felt the impact of our close-knit culture and flexibility. This is something very personal to me.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy playing golf. I am very involved with my grandkids. Many people know me for my love of wine and chocolate pairing.
What’s a fun fact few would know about you?
When I was young, I used to work on cars and ride motorcycles. At one time, I was a bus driver.
